Hi, I’m M. Nicole Washington.
I use a human-centered approach in UX Design and Graphic Design to create intuitive, accessible, and memorable experiences.
Skillset
I developed my UX Design + Research and Graphic Design skills while earning my B.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering (focus in Human-Computer Interaction) at the University of Washington. My academic background is rooted in the User-Centered Design Process (UCD), making users’ needs the priority of the project. The work I produce is always done with empathy, community, and equity at the forefront of my mind.
In my free time, I practice my Graphic Design skills by building clientele and accepting commissions, primarily focused on identity branding, logo design, and color schemes.
UX Design + Research
Using the UCD method, my projects often involve the following:
Usability Testing & Surveys
Literature Reviews
Competitive Analysis
Personas & User Journey Maps
Storyboarding
Wireframing
Prototyping & Mockups

Using Adobe Illustrator and Figma, I work on projects that involve:
